Moz describes where its data appears in Profound
The announcement says Moz data is being brought into Profound, with the Pages feature identified as the initial main location. It names Domain Authority and Brand Authority among the site-level metrics. This is a data partnership; the announcement does not describe an acquisition of either company. Different products can share part of the same information
A buyer comparing two reports may assume that different logos mean independent measurements. A data partnership can make that assumption wrong for part of a report. The products can still add different value through their interface and the work they help the team complete.
This matters when a business is trying to reduce overlapping subscriptions. Repeated data is not automatically wasted spending, but the second product needs to earn its place through something the team actually uses.
How we would compare the combined reporting job
We would follow one real website through the report and identify which numbers come from which provider. Then we would look at what the product adds around them. Does it explain a citation opportunity clearly? Can the team connect the finding to work someone will complete?
That is a more concrete comparison than treating every AI-branded platform as an entirely new source of information. The Moz history explains the older metrics behind this partnership. The SEO platform histories show how Semrush and Ahrefs arrived at their own AI-visibility offerings through different product decisions.
