Milestone: June 2025

The roundup date and the product period are different

The June 2025 roundup, updated July 9, reports that Brand Radar was out of beta and included ChatGPT and Perplexity indexes. We label the milestone June 2025 because that is the product-update period, while keeping the update date visible in the source. Ahrefs June 2025 product updates, updated July 9

A mention report needs a clear denominator

A report saying a brand appeared more often is hard to interpret without knowing which answers were checked. The sample may cover different questions or a different period than the report beside it. A buyer needs enough detail to understand what moved before treating the movement as a business result.

That is the new buying problem this milestone introduces. The team is purchasing a view into AI answers. It still needs its own way to connect that view with customer awareness or inquiries.

How we would judge the Brand Radar fit

We would begin with the customer's actual questions and look at the answers behind the totals. If the brand is absent, can the report show the context? If it appears, is the mention accurate and relevant to the work the business sells?

Those checks are more valuable than a large number with no explanation. The Ahrefs versus Semrush comparison puts the competing platforms side by side. This milestone explains why an older comparison focused only on rankings misses part of the newer buying decision. It does not claim that an AI mention is a click or a sale.
